If you feel dizzy after reading all the mixed messages in the media about which foods, supplements and eating behaviors are good for you and which are bad, you are not alone. It seems like every day there is conflicting research and opinion bombarding us about the health benefits of chocolate and wine, the positive results seen from taco or lemonade cleanses, eating tiger nuts, or even consuming energy bars made of cricket flour.
Many people don't know what to think about nutrition. The risk from all this conflicting information, according to a study by the University of Minnesota, is that confused consumers will be less likely to comply with expert nutrition and health advice. They are also more prone to ignore advice about food and behavior for which there is no ambiguity that they lower disease risk.
